Even as a small child I have been enchanted by beautiful papers - from the wrapping paper that bound my Christmas presents to the waxy parchment papers used in baking or the purple tissue paper that wrapped around tangerines in my father's shop.
So today is a red letter day as I am visiting Shepherd's Fine Paper store in London. I've been buying on-line for some time but to visit and spend a happy afternoon looking at samples and identifying the best papers for my work was a real treat!
The team are so knowledgeable and keen to help find the best papers for my work. Needless to say I came away with a wide selection ranging from Offenbach Bible Paper to Seichosen Kozo to the finest Watermark Unryu White at 9 grams a metre.
