Mummy Brown, Caput Mortuum and other Surprising Hues

When travelling abroad I love to find art and craft shops and often spend a happy hour looking through paints and pigments from manufacturers that I've not come across before. The names of pigments have an enchantinq quality that easily rivals those of the eponymous Farrow & Ball catalogue - Bile Yellow, Lead Tin Antimony Yellow, Tiger's Eye or Caput Mortuum which always slightly amused me as in Latin it translates to "Dead Head", however after coming across this excellent BBC article I shall now be taking a little more care in researching any paints I purchase - http://www.bbc.com/culture/story/20180328-the-pigment-made-of-human-remains-and-more-surprising-hues
