Compelling Modern Art

Modern art is meant to be challenging and thought provoking but all too often when faced with a square section of floor tiles or a lightbulb hanging from a wire I struggle to "get" it and I am always reminded of this famous cartoon and have to smile at my own impatience and limitations.

So, it was delightful to visit the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art this week and spend some happy times viewing some particularly interesting installations.

This one by French Artist Céleste Boursier-Mougenot (clinamen v.3) is both visually and audibly compelling.
